About Us
Owned and operated by the Poland family, Poland’s Creek is an equestrian event venue located about halfway between Atlanta and Birmingham, south of I-20 and a little north of downtown Ranburne, AL.
Poland’s Creek was founded on the core principals of community engagement, love for our neighbors, and stewardship of the land and all who live and visit there, whether they have 2 feet or 4. Our family has been blessed with a beautiful property and the opportunity to reach others in our community through that property. When we consider these gifts, we are reminded to put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, patience, forgiveness, and, above all, love (Col. 3:12-14). In so doing, we strive to do good, to be rich in good works, to be ready to share (1 Tim 6:18). Rehabilitating the property’s long-vacant buildings is a labor of love for the Poland family, one which we have undertaken with these core principals to guide us.
Our Facilities
Our facilities consist of over 200 acres, including 62 acres of pasture for grazing, a spring-fed creek and 1.5-acre fishing pond.
Big Barn – A 41,000 square-foot barn (The Old Cleburne County Sale Barn) with 27,000 square feet of covered area that includes a large riding ring, 20 stalls, and space to ride when the weather is bad. It also includes an 8,000 square foot auditorium with sound and lighting, restrooms – a perfect agricultural event or party space.
Horse Stables – A 6,000 square-foot barn with restrooms, shower room, feed room, large tack room with lounge space, hot and cold water throughout – including the outdoor wash rack.
Riding Arena – 27,000 square foot riding arena with roping chute, return alley, and holding pens, with a mixture of clay and river sand footing.
Our Equestrian Programs
We have coaches available to teach English or Western riding lessons. We also offer short- and long-term boarding services for horses.
The Old Cleburne County Sale Barn
Originally built in 1975 for use as a cattle auction facility, The Old Cleburne County Sale Barn is a work-in-progress, but we’ve got big plans for this historic bulding!
Events
Poland’s Creek can host events of all types, including: Equestrian events and competitions, arena rental, auctions, livestock shows, and parties.
